As an optional pathway, upon completion of the MBA, students can continue their academic journey through Coventry University’s programme, earning 60 additional ECTS credits to deepen their expertise and earn an MSc (Master of Science).
From MBA to MSc
A university-accredited Master’s degree
Students wishing to further strengthen their academic profile can choose to extend their MBA through Coventry University’s programme. This option allows them to build on their managerial and professional experience while developing advanced academic and research skills in the creative and service industries.
The programme is structured around two complementary stages, combining taught learning with independent research:
1. Leading Diverse Workforces / 10 credits
A two-month online module providing students with the knowledge and tools to understand and manage diverse teams within a strategic and inclusive approach to talent development.
In this module, students explore, for example, the influence and impact of leadership theories, culture and wellbeing, as well as approaches to developing more effective equality, diversity and inclusion strategies and practices that can be creatively applied in leadership roles across a range of organisational contexts.
The module also enables students to critically reflect on their own learning and development needs, as well as on how they work with others from an ethical and professional perspective, supporting their continuing professional development.
2. MSc Dissertation for the Creative and Service Industries / 50 credits
An individual four-month research dissertation enabling students to conduct in-depth research and develop their knowledge and expertise in a specialist field such as marketing, fashion, hospitality or tourism.
